The heart of food insecurity begins at one central location: the farm. While famers produce their crops for profit, they do have intentions for their un-distributed crops to make it onto the plate of someone who is hungry. In addition, they carry through with procedures to ensure that what they grow is in fact secure. Angela Kidder and David Masser, a produce farmer and potato farmer respectively, provide their insight on what can be done to combat this issue and the direction of where they see it going.
